Sheep Contract-USA 2005
Whereas the
bioagritourism co-operative "La Porta dei Parchi" raises "Sopravissana"
sheep in the territory of Anversa and is the full owner of the
said sheep, farm identification code No. 004AQ007awarded by the
Sulmona-Avezzano-Castel di Sangro A.S.L., with registered office
in Piazza Roma, 11/A - 67030 Anversa degli Abruzzi; Phone and
Fax 0864/49.595; V.A.T. code number 00204960660; registered with
the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Artisans, and Agriculture at
no. 52387; Registered in the Prefect's Register of Co-operative
societies under Section 3 agricultural, at no. 87/1978.
Whereas the raising of livestock, especially in mountain regions,
is decreasing so rapidly that it risks total extinction, which
would lead to the obliteration of agrarian culture;
Whereas
the adopt-a-sheep campaign has been launched in an attempt to
prevent livestock farms of significant ecological value from
disappearing;
the co-operative legally represented by Nunzio
Marcelli, born at Anversa degli Abruzzi on 9th November 1954,
residing at 11/A Piazza Roma, Anversa degli Abruzzi (hereinafter
"the Company"), hereby enters into an adopt-a-sheep agreement
with the following parties:

accept(s) the following terms of adoption.
Art. 1 - The
Cooperative shall update its livestock register, in which the
sheep to be adopted can be identified., on an ongoing basis.
Since each sheep may be identified unequivocally by a specific
earmaark, the sheep may also be identified by name. In this
case, the applicant will receive an identity certificate for the
adopted sheep.
Art. 2 - Upon
signing of the contract, a news service (for the time being
available only in Italian) will become active. Said service
shall inform the applicant periodically with regard to
activities, including events and initiatives to be organized,
the results obtained and fairs and in general other occurrences
related to sheep-raising activities. Should the parties wish to
rent the Company's agritourist facilities for overnight stays,
they shall receive a discount on regular prices, except in the
high season (July-August and major holidays). Said discount
shall be applied at the rate of 10% for a minimum stay of 2
nights; 15 % fora stay of 3 nights or more; and 20 % for a stay
of 1 week or more.
Art. 3 - In
exchange for the sum of € 180.00 per sheep, paid upon signing
this contract as purchase of a future goods (Chapter I Article
1,472 Civil Code of Laws), the applicant shall elect to receive
for each adopted sheep one of the following two options:

the sheep
· 1 pair of 100% virgin wool trekking socks
· 1
Voucher for half board for two people for two days in the
agritourism located on the farm (except in the high season:
July-August and major holidays)

PRIORITY MAIL INCLUDED

the sheep
· 1 pair of 100% virgin wool trekking socks
· 3
lbs. of pecorino cheese and 4 forms of smoked ricotta cheeses
· COSTS OF SHIPPING BY PRIORITY MAIL INCLUDED
In the case of

Art. 5 - Any
matters not expressly determined by the present contract shall
be determined by referring to Title III - on individual
Contracts - Chapter I - on sales; Section 1 General provisions;
Article 1470 and following articles of the Civil Code of Laws,
Book four.

contract, or sending it by e-mail to manuela.cozzi@dimmidove.com
or mancozz@tin.it or by sending it via registered mail with
return receipt requested to the address in the header, the
parties agree and acknowledge that they have read, approved and
undersigned all articles of the contract, which is binding for
the signatory party as soon as the contract is dispatched, and
is binding for the Company from the time of its receipt.
